Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a Fraud Specialist to join their team! This position is located in Overland Park, Kansas.
Duties:
- Conduct in-depth analysis and investigations to identify and manage fraudulent activities, including customer authentication and compliance with fraud policies across business channels
- Analyze relevant data to confirm or clear fraud, validate customer ID authentication, and address violations of fraud policies
- Evaluate fraud trends related to fraudulent orders and identity theft and recommend preventive measures
- Perform research, draw conclusions, and notify appropriate internal staff for customer verification or legal action
- Investigate and respond to fraud escalations while improving fraud-related processes and procedures
- Participate in developing and implementing policies and procedures to deter fraudulent usage
- Take inbound calls and referrals from victims of fraudulent activities and provide guidance to resolve issues
- Review documents and utilize internal and external tools to validate identity and assess fraud risks
Desired Skills/Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred
- 1+ year(s) of relevant experience in fraud management, customer service, or a call center environment
- Proficiency in operating a computer in a Windows-based environment, including navigating multiple screens and programs simultaneously
- Strong phone communication skills, including excellent conversational English and active listening
- Experience with tools like Slack for team communication and document review for identity validation
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
